Job Description
Senior Business Analyst will serve as liaison between IT and business end-users located in Europe, Asia and North America.   Focus will be on payment data (e.g. Funds Transfers, Wires) to support Anti-Money Laundering monitoring activities.  This position will entail working with the AML business to analyze requirements and review/produce specifications for new and existing technology processes. This role will also involve working with the technical lead and offshore development team to ensure that they understand the specifications and can implement the requirements. Business process modeling will also need to be performed. Senior Business Analyst must have minimum 10 years of industry experience.

Role: Senior Business Analyst for the GTS AML IMR Remediation Program
Key Responsibilities 
  • Document business requirements and communicate these requirements to the development team for the design and implementation.
  • Business Analyst will document current and to-be process flows to understand and examine business processes.
  • Business Analyst will be responsible to identify, assess, and document business requirements, recommending priorities, and advising team of options and risks.
  • Help shape the vision of longer-term business requirements.
  • Communicate business priorities to the technology organization in order to drive effective business solutions.
  • Conduct research to determine if solutions to business requirements currently exist within or outside the business unit, and if not, whether new solutions are feasible.
  • Facilitate requirements and design sessions with user community and IT.
  • Analyze impact of proposed solution across the business, develop use cases to explain/demonstrate business requirements/specifications to IT team.
  • Contributes to continuous improvement and proactively supports knowledge sharing within the team and across Technology.
  • Facilitate implementation of new functionality through training sessions, demos, and the development of appropriate documentation.
  • Manage day-to-day individual workload as well as the workload of others on the team, monitors milestones and critical dates.
  • Extensive experience in writing Business Cases. Must have experience doing feasibility studies.
  • Provide guidance in formulating new requirements and aim to improve business processes by coming up with creative and alternative approaches to solving business problems and identify business strategy, issues and opportunities.
  • Business Analyst will coordinate with Project Managers in the development of detailed project plans and work assignments while monitoring progress to ensure project deliverables are met.
Qualifications
  • The ideal candidate for this position will possess a college degree with 8 to 10 years experience in an IT Senior Business Analyst role.
  • Experience with web-based and client server applications is required.
  • Experience/understanding of business process reengineering and business modeling concepts, business systems development and analysis.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills, to include solid experience in writing functional and technical specifications.
  • The candidate must have demonstrated experience in documenting use cases and functional requirements with excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication is required along with strong presentation skills and business acumen.
  • Knowledge of ETL technologies (Informatica, Ab-Initio).
  • Experience with SQL and writing queries.
