The role of the Integration Business Analyst is to develop requirements for architecture engagement type project. This is achieved through interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys and personal visits. The Business Analyst is responsible for the development of Business Requirements Documents, Functional Requirement Document which include business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis.

The role of the Integration Business Analyst is to develop requirements for architecture engagement type project. This is achieved through interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys and personal visits. The Business Analyst is responsible for the development of Business Requirements Documents, Functional Requirement Document which include business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis.
Responsibilities
- Gather and document all requirements from multiple sources.
- Act as liaison between business units, technology teams, support groups and technical developers.
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources.
- Interpret business and technical needs and translate them into specifications to support development.
- Decompose high-level information into details.
- Create abstractions from low level information to provide a general understanding.
- Distinguish and prioritize user requests.
- Develop Business Requirements documents.
- Develop Business and System Use cases.
- Understand and document interface and integration details.
- Align business requirements with solution architectural patterns as defined by technical architects and developers.
- Develop requirements using standard templates and established approaches.
- Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to understand and establish a technical vision.
- Analyze, document and articulate tradeoffs between user and technical concerns.
- University degree or college diploma.
- 5 years direct work experience in a Business Analyst capacity.
- Ability to reconcile business and technical conflicts and issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
- Familiarity with architecture, middleware technologies and information governance concepts.
- Previous experience working in middleware, SOA, J2EE application is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience in analyzing information and translating it into requirements on high profile projects.
- Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
- Can conform to shifting priorities and demands.
- Experience developing enterprise requirements aligned with formal methodologies.
- Flexible during times of change.
- Strong analytic, verbal and written skills.
- Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
