Senior Systems Administrator (Stamford, CT)
Seeking a permanent, full-time Senior Systems Engineer, with solid experience building and supporting progressive financial technologies, in a fast paced, mission critical environment, and wearing many hats. Stamford based fixed income trading firm, with 3 sites, consisting of approximately 60 employees. Required Qualifications: 

  • 7++ years' of experience e as a Unix Systems Administrator managing mission critical infrastructures 
  • Expert knowledge of IT security and security best practices 
  • Experience managing virtual environment's required 
  • Strong understanding of clustering and high availability 
  • Strong understanding of storage technologies (RAID,, SAN, NASS, ISCSI, FFC) 
  • Demonstrated ability of shell scripting 
  • Previous experience supporting a trading desk 
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills required 
  • Willingness to work additional hours when necessary 
  • Must be available after hours for support calls 
  • Must be willing to occasionally travel 


Additional Qualifications: 

  • Red Hat Certification a huge plus 
  • 2++ years' of experience as a Windows Systems Administrator 
  • Experience administering Sybase and Postgre databases a plus 
  • NetAp experience a plus 


Responsibilities: 

  • Managing environment which consists of Unix and Windows 
  • Server/Network optimization for peak performance 
  • Troubleshooting network/server performance and connectivity issues 
  • Create technical documentation as required for network and sy stem related changes and updates 
  • Maintain network and system diagrams utilizing Microsoft Visio 
  • Assist with technology planning through ongoing research and testing

Project Nature
  • Responsible for delivery of strategic, cross-functional, high visible projects within time, cost, scope, and quality defined boundaries, in accordance with the company's life cycle methodologies and disciplines

Accountable for implementing and maintaining formal project management practices for the several testing tracks that makes up the testing practice. This job includes: interacting with the Test Manager, Test Lead  who lead the testing tracks, as well project managers in the development groups, other project management professionals who may be employed especially on large, multi-functional and/or multi-regional projects, and the service delivery managers in the TCoE; conducting formal project management in this role includes creating and/or updating project plans, tracking scope, budget, resources, schedule, prerequisites, deliverables, and communications - and providing appropriate metrics in all those spaces; understanding and insuring conformance to the standards and processes of the TCoE; selecting/maintaining and integrating the appropriate set of tools, processes and procedures to ensure overall project management efficiency and effectiveness within my organization; providing regular status reporting consistent with established program governance requirements.

This position is responsible for helping to support the Technology Management and clients in their needs for program and project management reporting and includes ad-hoc support with data analysis, data collection and metrics reporting.  Additional responsibilities include SharePoint site administration, maintenance and development.

OPPORTUNITY:As a member of the Reporting team, the candidate will have a challenging opportunity to work with a number of Technology units. The individual should be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Candidate will have over 4 years experience in Excel, Access, Visual Basic, BO and minimum 1 year experience in Share point site maintenance,  Info Path forms and designer knowledge.  Hands-on experience in PTS-W will be an asset. Experience in Project Management will be a plus.

The work of the Business Intelligence group focuses on the providing support for management reporting, process standardization, and cost management. This entails a high level of interaction with various teams across the bank as well as communication with multiple levels of management globally.
Seeking a versatile New York based team member to join existing group to focus on headcount reporting and forecasting, handy management, process re-engineering relating to accruals, provider cost analysis, and GT report standardization.  This role reports to the NY team lead and is part of a global team. 
Overall we support Wholesale and Retail IT Development groups and their clients.
Responsibilities:
  • Subject Matter Expert for providing cost analysis and centrally coordinate the total view 
  • Partner with finance to validate and agree on the monthly flash results 
  • Participate in the monthly balance sheet and results position review with finance 
  • Monthly reporting reviews with senior management 
  • Participation in the quarterly forecast process and coordination 
  • Manage BMS team in the production of the monthly headcount report 
  • Joiner / Leaver data analysis and ad hoc reporting 
  • Work with divisional admin to ensure proper HR data is available for valid reporting, internal and external headcount 
  • Participate in working groups related to headcount process change 
  • Develop and implement process for headcount forecasting to be adopted across global technology 
  • DB Rib reporting implementation and adoption (or similar central repository tool) 
  • Assist in the handy support and central accrual process 
  • Management of project initiatives lead by the central team to ensure end to end roll out and adoption 
  • Participate in central workstreams as necessary 
Professional and Personal QualificationsBusiness management or controlling experience in the financial industry. 
  • High proficiency in Excel, Microsoft access, Powerpoint, Graphing, Charting, Hiperion/Essbase, and ability to work with large complex datasets. 
  • Financial experience and knowledge of accounting principles & practices, including budgeting and forecasting. 
  • Has experience presenting to senior management and feels comfortable in such a role. 
  • Ability to monitor, track and clearly communicate progress, escalating issues when appropriate. 
  • The ability to work either independently or as an integral team member sharing ideas and following group standards 
  • Strong attention to detail, quick turnaround time, and adaptability to variation in the work type 
  • Time Management skills -ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment with various work-streams and demands in place simultaneously.  Strong ability to prioritize and problem solve. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently, choosing the most appropriate method and medium depending on audience. 
  • Ability to develop and implement processes for the long term strategic solution while managing the short term tactical approach.
Education/Certification:
