The candidate will be responsible for working with our IT Business Process Engineering, Information Security, Audit, and Software Development clients to produce a set of requirements that integrates the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) workflow with our standard development tooling.
The overall solution will service in excess of 20,000 developers globally, initially on Distributed Systems (Linux, Windows, AIX, Java) and ultimately extending to the mainframe.
To create the requirements, the candidate is expected to have a comprehensive knowledge of the underlying tools and the integration interfaces they provide. This includes knowledge of tools and process within the SDLC, Requirements and Modeling tools, Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), Build and Packaging, Code Re-use, Deployment, Testing and Profiling, Static and Dynamic Code Analysis disciplines.
The solution is anticipated to require some new development and enhancements, customization of existing tooling, and integration with existing corporate infrastructure and data.
Candidates will possess an appropriate mix of the technical skills below. The candidates are expected to have at least 10 years of IT experience and one recent major successful (roll-out with real users) initiative that services 7,500 or more corporate end users. Additionally, the solutions architect must possess strong inter-personal, documentation, and interpersonal skills with experience presenting to middle level and senior management.
Development Methodology: Waterfall, Agile, RAD, et. al.
Project Management: Planview
ALM Tooling: Microsoft Team Foundation Server, Collabnet Team Forge, or IBM Rational Team Concert products.
Integrated components for source code control, issue tracking, build, and traceability between the phases of the SDLC
Requirements Tooling: Blueprint
IDEs: Eclipse, Rational Application Developer, and Visual Studio.
Collaboration: Wiki's, Sharepoint
Build Language: make, ANT, nmake, msbuild, maven
Continuous Integration: Hudson/Jenkins
Packaging and Deployment: MSI, RPM, JNLP
Testing Tools: HP Quality Center
