Project Nature
  • Meet with decision-makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, systems, and operations requirements. This position is location in Warren, NJ and offers a competative compensation.  Email resumes to yigal@sans.com
  • Ensure that all stakeholders are involved in Pre studies and definition phases and that all tasks that require a technical a solution are identified in the project plans submitted for approval.
  • Develop and review Business Requirement Documents (BRDs)
  • Facilitate meetings with the appropriate subject matter experts to receive specifics on requirements
  • Ensure that high-level business requirements have been decomposed properly into useable functional requirements
  • Perform analysis to determine and verify business requirements and functional design
  • Manage changes to baseline requirements through a change control process
  • Maintain issues lists, including minutes from design meetings
  • Document functional specifications and SDLC required artifacts
  • Document operational flow of multiple business areas or processes
  • Develop and execute test plans that will ensure business requirements have been met
  • Create test scripts including specific test cases and expected results
  • Balance the needs and foster a relationship between the business and the technology areas
  • Create flow diagrams, structure charts, and other types of system or process representations
  • As appropriate, utilize design tools to create mock screens and prototypes
  • Assist Project Manager with the project plan
  • Assist in the organization and delivery of presentations
Computing / Development Environment Details
  • Minimum of 4 - 6 years of practical experience in analysis, design and implementation of projects within the financial services industry
  • Compiling data, defining and documenting business requirements
  • Managing, organizing and prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities
  • Preparing and executing test scripts
  • Knowledge of Financial Products and Market Data. Specifically Equities, Fixed Income, and Derivative instruments.
  • Technically proficient in Microsoft Office products, MS Project and Visio.
  • Knowledge of Transactional Services (Securities & Fund Services, Fund Accounting, Custody Services)
  • Understanding of Account Reference data would be helpful
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to facilitate discussions
  • Quickly grasp and master new requirements and related knowledge
  • Manage tight deadlines or unexpected requirement changes
  • Ability to learn/understand some technical implications of system design
  • Willingness to ask questions, challenge the process and seek out answers
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of the project
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
